The idea and task of the Forum: to popularize the achievements of Ukrainian beverage producers, especially producers of ciders, beers, and distillates, also jointly develop the beverage industry, and strengthen the economy of Ukraine. At the same time, to assist companies and enterprises in the development of their production, implementation of the latest technologies, and innovative approaches to conquer Ukrainian and foreign markets. We are also interested in increasing the beverage diversity and developing the culture of their consumption through various mechanisms of information dissemination - exchange of experience and communication between professionals and amateurs within the framework of this and other events, public competitions, tastings, publications in specialized journals, spreading thematic information via social media, etc.

 

The forum of brewers, distillers, and beverage producers will last two days. On the first day, September 7, - a conference day with a discussion panel on the current situation and trends in the development of industries, with speeches by specialists, experts, representatives of technology companies, and direct market participants. The second day, September 8, will combine business tours (visiting the brewery and distillery) with practical classes - collaborative beer brewing at one of the leading Ukrainian breweries and masterworks (topics will be agreed upon later).

 

Production of various beverages with a combination, for example, beer based on fruits, berries, honey, nuts, and herbs (fruit and berry wines, ciders, and distillates), can be a real chance for enterprises and companies to gain new markets but it`s possible only if you produce high-quality products. That`s why it will be the key topic for discussion at the Forum including new technologies in the production of beer and beverages, as well as current approaches in the promotion and ways to win the hearts of foreign consumers. The agenda will also include sharing producers` experience in producing the best drinks, discussion about market current trends, and the latest and traditional technological techniques.

 

Section "FORUM OF CURRENT TOPICS" - Moderator Dmytro Nekrasov, member of the Board of Directors of Independent Breweries of Ukraine. Participants will be discussing the current situation in craft brewing and beverage production: how enterprises and companies can survive during wartime but also run business by expanding the product range and improving their product quality. 

Section "FORUM OF TECHNOLOGICAL IMPROVEMENTS" - "Technologies and innovations: focus on the stable quality of beverages." Fermentis, Unilab, UBC group, TAPI, Donau Lab Ukraine, Dohler, Consept Glass and others will present their solutions for brewing and beverage production in this section.

Section "FORUM OF ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES" - about innovative approaches used in beverage production and exchange of experience.

Section "Forum of Marketing and Sales" is about ways to gain Ukrainian and foreign markets, cooperation with trade and restaurant chains.

The Forum program includes an exhibition of technological achievements in the sector of beverages and a presentation of beer and original Ukrainian beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) based on fruits, berries, honey, and nuts, as well as public tastings of beers, ciders, and distilleries.

 

This forum will be interesting for the owners and managers of medium-small size breweries, restaurants, and horticultural- berry companies who are interested in successfully processing their products into beverages, enterprises producing ciders, distillates, etc. At the same time, brewers, technologists, laboratory technicians, managers, and chief agronomists of companies engaged in the hop and malting barley growing, producers of raw materials, yeast, ingredients, equipment for breweries, equipment for restaurants, representatives of trade and restaurant chains, exporting companies are welcome to participate too.

 

The scientific patronage of the Forum is carried out by the National University of Food Technologies.

 

The way of the Forum from the beginning till now. The First All-Ukrainian Forum of brewers and restaurateurs took place in Kyiv in the spring of 2016, dedicated to the traditional drink for Ukraine (and not only) - beer, primarily craft beer. In the same year, with the initiative of the founders of the media group "Technologies and Innovations" the first All-Ukrainian conference "From the Land to the Finished Product" took place in Lviv with great success, dedicated to the processing of fruits and berries with the presentation of unique traditional Ukrainian beverages based on berry- fruit- nut- mead and other natural raw materials, as well as current beverage technologies. If sum up the results, over the years, more than 30 conferences and forums have been held, with the participation of thousands of specialists and amateurs, with the support of hundreds of Ukrainian and foreign companies. And at each of these events, the most interesting samples of Ukrainian traditional beverages are presented.

 

We feel proud and want to note that over the years, a whole generation of craft producers of beer, distillers, ciders, and others has grown. So, the success of hundreds of breweries, cider houses, and distilleries was confirmed by numerous presentations and contests organized by the media group "Technologies and Innovations" during conferences and forums. It should be noted that the most notable among others was the International Tasting Competition East European Beer Award, which during 2017-2021 brought together more than one hundred beer experts at one place to taste more than 3,000 samples of beer and cider from hundreds of Ukrainian and foreign breweries, in more than 20 nominations. We are glad to announce that the following events will keep the tradition of assisting beverage producers to develop their businesses successfully and push them up to a higher level.
