 We gladly invite you to participate in the IX International Charitable Scientific and Practical Conference Successful Horticulture, Vegetable Growing, and Processing: Technologies and Innovations. Learning to Win! to be held on 26-27 October, in the Vinnytsia region, Ukraine.

October 26 – conference day includes specialists` presentations related to the vegetable and horticultural sector and tasting of direct pressed NFC juice (Not-From-Concentrate) from Ukrainian producers of fruits and vegetables.
 
October 27 – business tour to the company Agrokompleks, Fruktona VN and Agrokalina Fruits.

The aim of the conference consists of the popularization and implementation of up-to-date technologies for growing and processing vegetables and other fruits, contributing to the revival of traditional Ukrainian beverages based on fruits, berries, and vegetables, and the production of value-added products. According to tradition, this event will become the crucial all-Ukrainian platform for exchanging ideas and combining all players in this market!
 
The conference program covers:
•Discussion of the situation in vegetable growing in Ukraine during wartime and search for ways to solve them.
•Speeches of Ukrainian and foreign experts about successful land use experience, in particular, cultivation and processing of vegetables and fruits.
•Presentation of the latest varieties and technologies in vegetable growing and horticulture.
•Exhibition of current technologies, equipment in vegetable growing, horticulture, and processing.
•Public NFC juice tasting from Ukrainian producers.
•Presentation and tasting of products based on fruits, berries, and vegetables: juices, ciders, fruit and berry wines, liqueurs, distillates, jams, purees, dried products, etc.
•Business tour to leading horticultural and processing farms of the region.
•Charity auction of goods and services for vegetable growing and horticulture for supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The auction will take place with the support of the Charitable Foundation Strong and Free.
 
Participants: owners, managers, chief specialists of vegetable and horticultural farms, processing enterprises, and companies in freezing equipment, representatives of technological companies, scientists, and everyone who is interested in creating and successfully developing own business on their land.

•State support for the development of the fruit and vegetable industry in Ukraine.

On October 27, conference participants will visit the horticultural company Agrokompleks, Fruktona VN and Agrokalina Fruits.
 
It should be noted that an enterprise Agrokompleks is located in the village of Trostyanets, Vinnytsia district, having in disposal more than 40 hectares of apple orchards including cherry, hazelnut, walnut, and raspberry plantations. As for the apple varieties are presenting Gala, Red Chief, Champion, Jonagold, Renet Simyrenko, Golden Delicious, and Fuji. Moreover, this enterprise has its fruit storage with a regulated gas environment for storing up to 3500 tons of apples. The company also produces NFC apple juice (Not-From-Concentrate).
 
Fruktona VN is a large company specializing in freezing fruit and berry and vegetable products using modern equipment from the best European manufacturers: UNIDEX, PIGO, ZETA, PND. Capacities of the company`s lines: strawberries - 4 tons per hour; cherry - 2.8-3 tons per hour; blueberries, currants (soft berries) - 3.5 tons per hour; rosehip, sea buckthorn - 3-3.5 tons per hour. The participants of the business tour will visit the production of fruit fillers, the capacity of which is more than 4 thousand tons of products. Fruit fillers are used in the confectionery industry, dairy products, baby food production, etc. Fruit fillers produced by Frukton VN allow manufacturers of various food products to obtain new exclusive flavors of the final products. The products of the Fruktona-VN can be found frozen in packaging on the shelves of supermarkets both in Ukraine and in European retail chains.
 
Agrokalina Fruits is a young technological farm, where, since 2019, 14 hectares of pears of the Noyabrska, Yablunivska and Alessia varieties (red-fruited winter pears, the seedlings of which were purchased from the Belgian nursery Carolus) have been grown. The remaining seedlings of the Noyabrska and Yablunivska varieties are from the Bakhmut nursery. In the pear garden, a trellis and an anti-hail net were installed, which were purchased from the specialists of the EFT PLUS company. There is also drip irrigation and fertigation from the Irrigator Ukraine.
Farm managers will present a pear orchard to the participants of the business tour. They acquaint the visitors with the peculiarities of pear cultivation and the challenges that novice gardeners will have to face, and will share their experience on how to build a technological pear farm.
