All the details of beer production; additional opportunities in brewing; marketing and sales; the situation in the brewing industry as of 2025; prospects for the development of craft brewing; the launch of beer business in Ukraine, under the auspices of the Association of Independent Breweries of Ukraine, will be provided with the information support of the journal Drinks. Beer Technologies and Innovations and a new Beer Tasting Competition. These and other themes will be discussed during the XIV Forum of Brewers, Distillers, and Beverage Producers, held at the hotel and restaurant complex Verkhovyna, on April 10-11. The organizers traditionally gather a community of brewers and beverage producers to exchange experiences, discuss industry trends, and generate ideas for developing their businesses. You can read more details about it.

April 10 will include speeches by master brewers, independent experts, representatives of technology companies, etc. During the conference day, participants will discuss the situation in craft brewing and new opportunities provided by current technological solutions. Thus, they will cover the whole technological chain of beverage preparation, and analyze the topic of marketing and sales.

During the Brewers Forum, 4 discussion panels are scheduled. The following issues will be under discussion:

It`s a time to unite for the sake of quality. Situation in the industry. Prospects. The launch of the beer business in Ukraine under the auspices of the Association with the information support of the journal Drinks. Beer. T.I., and a new Beer Tasting Competition. Moderator – Dmytro NEKRASOV, Executive Director of the Association “Independent Breweries of Ukraine”.

Additional opportunities in the brewing industry: production of non-alcoholic, vitaminized, gluten-free, and strong beer, at the same time, mead beverages, ciders, kombucha, seltzer, and other low-alcohol drinks. Moderator – Yulia KIRYLENKO, scientist and chief technologist of the BLINKERS BREW Brewery (Romania, Timisoara).

All the details about beer production: pasteurization and other ways to increase the shelf life of beer without losing quality and craftiness. Why does beer foam? Moderator – Dmytro NEKRASOV, Executive Director of the Association “Independent Breweries of Ukraine”, master brewer, and technologist of the First Dnipro Brewery.

Marketing and sales. Ways to develop markets and cooperation with retail and restaurant chains. Moderator Oleksander SHATALOV, founder of the Hutsul craft brewery "Tsypa".

Every beverage producer desires to obtain a high-quality product. And, this can be achieved through constant control at each stage of production. For this reason, portable devices from the Austrian manufacturer Anton Paar are used. Why is control needed even at a microbrewery? What tools exist, and for what production capacities? Volodymyr PASHKO, director of the company "Donau Lab Ukraine", the Main Laboratory Partner of the Forum, will talk about quality control in beverage production.

Daniel VASHA, head brewer of the Schulz 2.0 brewery, will share his own rich experience on important technological nuances in production that brewers should pay attention to. Bohdan DEMCHENKO, representative of the company "Solod Ukrainy", TM Fermentis - the Main Technological Partner of the Forum, will tell us about yeast for wheat beer of the German and Belgian styles. Serhiy NAZARENKO, a technologist of the UniTec company, will get acquainted with experiments in terms of technologies and adaptation to different production conditions at enterprises of different capacities. Yuriy VOYTYUK, sales manager of the GEA company, will inform us about GEA equipment for the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage industries.

Oleksiy GLADYSHEV, CEO of Levada Consulting, will acquaint participants with the latest industrial solutions: logistic adaptation of beer companies during wartime, developing solutions for removing weaknesses and implementing a cybersecurity system.

Valentyna MIKUSEVYCH, quality consultant, will tell more detailed about beer tasting as one of the effective tools for obtaining stable quality of the drink.

Yuriy SAVCHUK, a technologist in the beverage production of Best Way Foods company, will introduce Muntons malt and other products for beer and beverages from BWF company. Ilya BAKHURYNSKY, head of the company’s agricultural sector (procurement and sales department) will deliver his speech about malt and PET preform from the largest Ukrainian beverage manufacturer, Obolon company.

Vyacheslav SHYSH, a representative of TAPI group company (Italy), will tell us about current trends in alcohol packaging. Andriy TERES, a representative of PET Technologies, will inform about effective solutions for the production of PET containers in the brewing industry.

Moreover, Inna GARMASHEVA, PhD of Biological Sciences, Senior Researcher of the Department of Physiology of Industrial Microorganisms, of the D.K. Zabolotny Institute of Microbiology and Virology of the NAS of Ukraine, will deliver a speech about lactic acid bacteria in brewing. Alina RADZIEVSKA, representative of the company "Simeks-Proma", will inform participants about natural food flavorings - CO2 extracts.

In addition, on April 10, the forum program will include a large-scale exhibition-presentation of equipment, technologies and materials for the production of beer and other beverages.

At the end of the Forum, traditionally, we will conduct our 13th Charity Auction of goods and services provided by partners and participants to support brewers - soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It should be noted that during the last Lviv forum in September 2024, we were able to fundraise about 85,200 UAH to purchase a pickup truck for Serhiy DZYUBAN`S unit, where he serves and who is a co-founder of the DiD brewery.

According to tradition, an exhibition-tasting of products from Ukrainian distilleries and other beverage producers, as well as products for beer, not only from food partners, will take place.

At the end of the Forum, by tradition, a GREAT PABLIC BEER TASTING will take place with the best beers provided by well-known beer producers. Previously, more than 50 breweries have already applied to participate.

During the second day, on April 11, the Forum participants will visit 2 famous capital breweries: Solomyanska Brovarnya and 2085brewery.

Solomyanska Brovarnya is a unique restaurant project, where since 2011 they have been brewing branded craft beer. The project was implemented by Vasyl Mikulin and Oleksiy Gavrysh, and the first brewing was conducted under the supervision of Dmytro Nekrasov. In 2014, a second restaurant was opened in the heart of Kyiv, on Andriyivskyi Uzviz.

Today, five main types of beer are produced here, created for true beer - lovers. The best classic and original recipes are used in the process. Only high-quality raw materials are used for brewing: German malt and bitter hops, Czech aromatic hops, French top- and bottom-fermenting yeast, as well as specially prepared purified water. Beer is brewed using classic technologies in compliance with the Bavarian Beer Purity Law of 1516.

2085 Brewery was founded in 2019 by brewer Nazar Drebot together with the owner of Kyiv catering establishments Valeriy Sozanovsky. According to the founders, 2085 is a true brewery of the future with innovative approaches, which conducts many experiments on a scientific basis. It`s not just about the year 2085 - the brewers immerse us into their futuristic view of the world overall. in total, 40 varieties of beer are introduced by producers there.
