V International Conference "From Land ToThe Finished Product", dedicated to horticulture, nut growing and processing industries, will take place on 22-23 October, in the Lviv hotel Warszawa. The two-day event will include a conference day with practitioners‘ speeches and market experts, scientists, producers of seedlings, machinery and technologies, exhibitions, presentations, tastings, as well as a business tour full of practical experience. The thematic will cover all stages of the fruit business, from setting up an orchard to the product processing and marketing. On October 23, as part of a large-scale business tour, conference participants will get to know at first-hand with successful orchard Green Garden and the farming enterprise GP-Group that runs fruits and vegetables freezing.
The farm households Green Garden was founded in early 2012 by Oleh Rudnytskyj. This farm has about 38 hectares of stone fruit orchard that includes 28 hectares of the apple orchard, and the rest pears, plums, peaches, cherries growing in the village of Novosilky, Busk district, Lviv region. The responsible economic approach is noticeable here in everything, in particular, a well-cared yard, with a dining room and rooms for employees, and, of course, perfect technological, well-cared orchard. The whole area is equipped with drip irrigation, through which the plants receive not only moisture but also nutrients. The territory has its bore, an artificial pond, meteorological station, and high-speed Internet and video surveillance system.
Thus, special sorting line sorts apples and peaches with a capacity of 2-3 tons per hour. For long-term storage of farming production, the enterprise puts into operation fruit storage for 2 thousand tons of products with a regulated gas environment. It allows producers to supply fresh produce almost continuous all year to local supermarkets and open markets, including the famous Shuvar market. Oleg Rudnytskyj considers his orchard not a work but a dream. And with the participants of the business tour, he will gladly share only proven technologies and ideas for the development of the horticultural business.
Growing fruit in current conditions requires not only specific knowledge and experience but also the skills from the perspective of successful management. Growers expand their business and begin to process their products aimed at extending short lead time products and, at the same time, create its added value.
Due to such rules, GP-Group develops its business. The enterprise placed in the Lviv region, engaged in growing and freezing own berries and provide services with freezing and preparation for the sale of fruit and berry products of other farmers. The head of the company Emil Vynnytsky is convinced that freezing fruits is a very full of promise business. It`s not only the best way to extend their product shelf - life, and meet the needs of consumers and technological chains in the production of the finished product, but also new opportunities to work cooperatively with colleagues and entering export markets.
GP-Group installed a fluidization tunnel freezer for shock freezing from the well-known Polish manufacturer Unidex. Moreover, the enterprise GP-Group bought many other necessary leading-edge equipment for processing fruits and berries, in particular, sink, inspection tables, conveyors, sorter, stalk separator, weigh batcher, and metal detector.
Currently, GP-Group is certified by ISO 22000. The owner`s plan is simple to satisfy the consumers` needs with high-quality, environmentally friendly, safe, frozen products and sell it on domestic and foreign markets at attractive prices.
