The scientific and practical conference is dedicated to grape growers and winemakers, and will be held in the Uzhgorod Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic,  December 15-16, 2022, with the support of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, and will bring together owners and managers, technologists, agronomists of large winemaking enterprises, small and medium-sized winegrowers who grow table and technical grapes, winemakers, producers of strong alcoholic beverages based on grapes and fruits.

 

Who is interested in setting up the production of high-quality products in these hard war times due to current technologies and the implementation of best practices that will be presented by the leading international and Ukrainian companies.

 

The event program includes speeches by well-known representatives of the viticulture and wine industry from all over Ukraine. This is, for example, founder of TM My Wine by Eduard Gorodetskyy (Odesa) Eduard GORODETSKYY; heads and members of local wine-making public organizations Oleksandr HARNOVDIY, Oleksandr KOVACH, Vasyl NAD`; Olga TOYCHKINA an oenologist, co-founder of the SyroVyna; Dmytro OSTAPENKO, head of the Odesa-based viticultural company Green Technology LTD; founder of VIN`S Tetiana SHMAGLYUCHENKO; winemaker-consultant, founder of craft winery Ofiussa Winery Yaroslav ANDRIETS`, and others. 

 

The program also includes speeches by foreign experts, including the founder of the company group Vinos de La Luz, the owner of wineries in Spain, Italy, Argentina, and the USA, Ricardo Núñez; Doctor of Technical Sciences, Director of Research, Development, and Innovation at Purcari Wineries plc, also the owner of the winery IM Les terres noires srl, ex-director of the National Office of Grapes and Wine in Moldova, Giorgii ARPENTIN; founder of the world-famous winery Et Cetera Wines Moldova Alexander LUKYANOV and others.

 

Up-to-date technologies in viticulture and winemaking will be represented by representatives of well-known companies from various European countries - ARTINOX (distributor of the BUCHER Vaslin company in Moldova, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan), AMPELOS-PLUS SRL, Rodonit Agro, Agritema, Unilab, BTU - Center, GEA WESTFALIA SEPARATOR Ukraine, Donau Lab and others.

 

 In addition to speeches by well-known speakers, conference participants will take place in the wine & cognac presentations from Ukrainian winemaking companies, an exhibition-presentation of equipment, technologies and materials, and products for winemaking and the processing industry.

 

 The conference will cover, among others, the following themes: current technologies in winemaking and production of cognac, grappa, chacha, and other drinks and products from grapes; modern technological solutions in the vineyard as the basis of high-quality wines; current winemaking equipment; sensory analysis as a method of wine identification, etc.

 

Communication and discussions - an integral part of the program. One more conference part, a round table about successful stories of market leaders and Ukrainian wine brands, attended by well-known foreign and Ukrainian winemakers and heads of large enterprises, will be carried out.

 

Thus, not only experienced winemakers but also heads of specialized associations and well-known scientists will take part in the discussion on the theme Viticulture and winemaking of Ukraine in the condition of martial law: we learn how not to give up!

 

Within the conference, a charity auction of stuff and services for viticulture and winemaking will be held, and the fundraising for supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, for the purchase of winter ammunition and medicines.
