The venue is - the Lviv George Hotel.
What are the current trends in freezing, processing, and cold logistics sectors for berries and vegetables? What pitfalls await those who want to master this sector? What are the specifics in packaging, sale, and export for frozen berries and vegetables? What does this market expect next season? How cost-effective is it to have your own freezing capacity at your enterprise? You may get answers to these and other questions during the congress, which will be attended by leading Ukrainian specialists on freezing, processing, and cold logistics of berries and vegetables.

The second conference day, December 13, will include a business tour of the enterprise with freezing capacities - Kamianka-Buzky plant food products. And everyone who is interested in the freezing business will be glad to get there. It is a new but successful enterprise that started its work in August 2023 in Kamyanka-Buzka, Lviv region. For a new company from Lviv Oblast, the issue of energy efficiency and saving was crucial. Thus, for the freezing system, it was decided to use carbon dioxide as a refrigerant instead of Freon. The company has installed equipment from leading European and Ukrainian manufacturers - a shock - freezing tunnel from the Polish manufacturer UNIDEX, part equipment from Uni-Masz H.M. Juszczuk Sp.J., Sortex optical sorter, and other equipment from powerful manufacturers. The refrigeration system was installed by Koriel Group company. The total area of the plant is about 4.5 thousand m 2, which includes the pre-cooling room, the product preparation workshop, a shock-freezing tunnel with a capacity of 3 tons per hour, as well as a packing place and storage.
Moreover, the second conference day will cover a visit to the farm "Prykarpattia Agro" which grows blueberries under the TM Boikivchanka in the village of Pidberezhya Ivano-Frankivsk region. This farm also grows raspberries and is going to grow strawberries in the modular greenhouses thanks to received state grant. The farm is now building 8 greenhouses measuring 10 x 50 m.
Overall, the VIII International Scientific and Practical conference "Berry Growing and Processing: Technologies and Innovations" will be devoted to the technologies of growing berry crops.
The conference program includes:
• Conference section: "Berry growing: main trends and challenges during wartime". Speeches by practical farmers and representatives of technological companies.
• Discussion panel: "Sales on the domestic market and for export: product quality and certification, packaging, logistics, pricing policy, etc."
• Congress on freezing and cold logistics.
• Exhibition of equipment, tools, plant protection products, fertilizers, etc.
• Negotiation tables with trade networks.
• Exhibition-tasting of beverages (distillates, wines, ciders, juices, etc.) and processed products from berries and fruits, including with adding honey (candies, dried fruits, chips, frozen products, jams, freeze-dried products).
