"Berry Growing and Processing: Technologies and Innovations" Fourth International Scientific and Practical Conference for representatives of The Berry and Processing Industries Will Take Place December 10-11, 2020

Running a successful business is costly and risky and knowledge on how to make it - precious! For those who want to create and develop their own successful and profitable berry business, the magazine "Jagodnik" (Ukraine) will organize the IV two-day conference "Berry Growing And Processing: Technologies And Innovations: - 2020", addressed to representatives of the berry and processing industries. The venue of the international scientific and practical conference will be taking place in western Ukraine, a region where both berry growing and berry processing are successfully developing.

The media project "Technologies and Innovations" keeps its traditions on holding this International Conference "Berry Growing and Processing: Technologies and Innovations", which brings together a record number of visitors every year. Last year`s conference, took place in the city of Rivne, brought together more than 300 guests, in particular, market experts, traders, exporters from 10 countries, representatives of 50 manufacturers. The conference was attended by domestic farmers from all over Ukraine - from West to East, foreign experts from Poland, Italy, France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Moldova, Belarus, and other countries. Thus, the next conference program will be even more interesting and cover the whole chain of industry processes: starting from berry- field preparation to the proclamation of fresh or processed berry products on the international markets. The conference will consist of a theoretical part, including speeches by experts of the berry market, managers/owners of successful berry farms, fruit nurseries, processing enterprises - producers of berry products and products based on berries, scientists, and government officials, leading European companies - manufacturers of machinery, equipment, and plant protection.

Within the framework of the conference, a large-scale exhibition of European and Ukrainian companies is scheduled, for introducing the most modern technologies of berry care and the processing of berry products.
By tradition, the conference organizer - publishing and information project "Technologies and Innovations" will hold an exhibition-presentation of beverages made based on berries, fruits, and honey, as well as food products with the use of berries.

If we talk about the fresh market, today the high dynamic of quick-growing berry market is shown by highbush blueberry, we notice the increase of area plantations of this berry crop and increasing sales in Ukraine and worldwide. That’s why the largest thematic part of the conference will be devoted to highbush blueberries.
During the event we will talk about the peculiarities in cultivation, selling and processing of other popular berry crops, in particular, garden strawberries, raspberries, and black currants, blackberries, as well as niche berry crops such as haskap, red currants, chokeberry, buckthorn, etc., which are step by step gaining popularity worldwide.

A separate thematic part will be devoted to the topics of storage, first of all, technologies for modern berry freezing and processing of berry products. Moreover, processing allows us to create added -value products, which means new job opportunities and a successful business for berry growers.

The second conference day will include a tour of the leading berry enterprises of the Ukrainian western region. Thus, the route will cover a farming enterprise specialized in the cultivation of highbush blueberries and garden strawberries, in particular, TOV "Blueberry Group ", which includes a master class on winter pruning of highbush blueberries from well-known experts in berry growing. Another one of our business partners of the tour is the Agroholding Green Plant, which is engaged in growing and freezing their own berries at a high technological level and provides the option of berry freezing and presale service of fruit and berry products to other farmers.

The main conference aim is to provide Ukrainian farmers with the keys to creating the most complete model of successful berry business, in particular, growing and selling fresh products, growing berries and their freezing with the next selling, growing and processing berry products into dried fruits, jams, juices, nectars, liqueurs, wines, liqueurs, honey drinks, etc. The task set by the organizers of the media group "Technologies and Innovations" is the development and promotion of modern technologies for growing and processing berries, assistance in the sale and export of Ukrainian berries.
Our conference participants are farm owners/ managers and main agronomists of berry and horticultural farms, managers and chief specialists of freezing complexes and processing plants, producers of juices, wines, berry-based spirits, beginners -farmers and all those who want to start a successful business, related with berry growing.

For agricultural producers - the participation fee – 100 euro (the price includes payment for participation in all events for 2 days, including a business tour)
Participation fee (1 day without a business tour) – 70 euro
For non-agricultural producers - the participation fee – 150 euro (the price includes payment for participation for 2 days, including a business tour); Participation fee (1 day without business tour) – 120 euro
