The VI International Forum of Brewers and Restaurateurs Will Be Held in Kharkiv!

The publishing project «Technologies and Innovations» is already willing to announce the date for the next international Forum of Brewers and Restaurateurs. The VI International Forum of Brewers and Restaurateurs will be held on October 10-11 in the city of Kharkiv — the city claims to be the beer capital of Ukraine (Location — event zone Fabrika)! The audience of the event is expected to be even wider, in particular, awaiting of participants from all over Ukraine, as well as Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Russia and other CIS countries, and company manufacturers from Germany, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia. The forum program will be rich and interesting, as the main topics will be covering following issues, the economy of creating own beer business, marketing, sales strategy and export Ukrainian craft beer, including innovation in brewing. Moreover, beer tour «Craft Way» will be held on 11 October, aimed at opening for forum participants the city of Kharkiv from a new perspective. Breweries, beer restaurants, and specialized outlets are intending to display the high potential of the city on the beer map of the country.

The venue for the next beer competition wasn’t randomly chosen, because the city of Kharkiv claims to be the beer capital of Ukraine. There are more than 20 operating breweries and small breweries, where among of these 11 restaurants — breweries, numerous original pubs, developed beer retail that entails an active development of a culture of beer consumption.

The family of restaurants AltBier will be the main organizational partner, headed by the general director Sergey Kovalenko, the owner of gold and bronze medalists of the competition East Europen Beer Award — 2017. The brand AltBier has been operating in the beer market for more than 7 years. Thus, the company includes 25 different enterprises, among of them ALTBIER BEER STОRE, restaurants, banquet hall, delivery service, BISTRO, CRAFT BEER BAR and 2 breweries. The brand is quickly developing in the restaurant business and brewing.

Within the framework of the conference day, together with Ukrainian and foreign market experts, we will talk about the current trends in the brewing industry. During «Technological Section», innovations, achievements, researches, and unique products will be introduced by domestic and European machinery manufacturers, technologies, raw materials, brewing equipment, marking, closure materials, etc. Additionally, the traditional exhibition is also scheduled. Notably, over 5 years of its existence, the exhibition was able to help many companies and brewers to find each other for concluding profitable contracts.

Analyzing the last Forum success, which gathered participants from 9 countries in Kyiv, the organizers have decided to make a focus on the themes of beer marketing and successful sales in restaurants-breweries, beer restaurants, pubs, bars, beer stores, through the internet. Successful brewers and restaurateurs will share their own experience of creating a business and its development. We are going to discuss the most profitable business models for the brewery and restaurant-brewery. We intend to help craft brewers to enter the international markets as we see the potential of Ukrainian craft brewers, as well as the endeavor to knowledge and modernization of production processes, and constantly growing in improving product quality. That is why we have chosen beer export as the new topic for the program.

We are not going to miss the legal aspects on the way of building or developing a brewing business. In the subtleties of legislation and how to protect own intellectual property will be helped by the constant legal partner of the forum — the IP and Law firm Pakharenko and Partners. Authoritative specialists are already preparing new topics and tips for brewers and restaurateurs.

And, a pleasant and emotional final of the conference day is going to be an awards ceremony of the All-Ukrainian Independent Tasting Competition East European Beer Award — 2018, which will start on the eve on October 9, as well as a gala dinner including beers presentation.

Beer tour «Craft Way» is scheduled to be eventful and many-sided that includes visiting trading chains, breweries, restaurants-breweries with beer tasting and beer menu. In parallel, an international collaborative brewing of beer will be carrying out. We announce about the searching of a partner for conducting a collaborative beer brewing!
